UG Chemistry Club Honoured for Science in Service of the Environment

🌊🏅 The University of Guyana Chemistry Club is proud to share that we were recognized by the University of Guyana Students’ Society (UGSS) on June 13th, 2025, at their official award ceremony!
This award highlights our active role in the PROMAR Project, where we engaged in meaningful initiatives such as:
A hands-on oil spill experiment,
An impactful beach clean-up exercise, and
The creative application of chemical science to promote environmental safety during the Career Fair.
Through these activities, we sought to demonstrate the power of science in addressing real-world environmental challenges. This recognition reflects our ongoing commitment to sustainability and environmental stewardship.
